Chart-topper Olly Murs met an inspiring woman ahead of his concert in Swansea - and the beautiful moment is set to air on BBC One later this week. Olly, 40, also mingled with staff at one of the city's most popular independent bar-restaurants, just hours before opening for Take That in concert at Swansea.com stadium.

The Troublemaker and Dance With Me Tonight singer has been touring the UK in recent weeks and performing an epic opening set to energise the crowds and keep them entertained before main act, Take That, take to some of the UK's largest stages amid their 'This Life' tour.

The band performed to a 27,000-strong crowd at the Swansea stadium last Thursday, June 6 - a performance we thought was absolutely fantastic - and ahead of this, Olly spent some time at Founders & Co. on Wind Street in the city centre and was filmed for the 'One Big Thankyou' segment of an upcoming episode of BBC's The One Show.

Producers are keeping details quiet until the episode airs, but typically the segment sees a celebrity surprise an amazing member of the public who has done something exceptional, for example raised lots of funds for charity, volunteered in the community or supported strangers through tough times. WalesOnline understands Olly was introduced to a local woman who does "amazing work in the community" whilst she was enjoying a pre-show meal with friends, who nominated her to be surprised on the programme. Sharing snaps on LinkedIn, sales and marketing executive at Founders & Co. Megan Wozencroft joked: "Just another day in the office!" adding: "[On Thursday] we got to welcome Olly Murs to Founders, how cool??! He came down for The One Show to surprise an amazing lady who did some incredible charity work. I just had to bring my mam along! Safe to say she had a blast!

"The producers even provided us with fake menus, face masks and cardboard cut outs, all for the set! Founders have now adopted an Olly Murs cutout who lives down in the staffroom! Make sure to tune in to The One Show next Thursday and see if you can spot us conveniently sitting in the background! We then headed over to the Swansea.com stadium to watch Olly perform as a support act for Take That. What an opportunity for Founders! What's next??"

Asked what Olly was like in-person, Megan told WalesOnline: "He was super friendly to everyone around and even used our photobooth!"

Events and marketing manager at Founders & Co, Natasha Jenkins, added: "The One Show team kept things pretty hush-hush since the episode won't air until Thursday. The lady who came in for food and drinks with her friends before the Take That show won an award for her amazing work in the community and Olly Murs was the presenter. She didn't know it was happening, I think her friends nominated her!"

Olly Murs' visit to Founders & Co. is expected to feature on BBC The One Show on Thursday, June 13 at 7pm.
