Olly Murs joins One Direction’s Niall Horan on the Gogglebox sofa for SU2C celebrity special

They might be two of Britain’s most recognisable musicians, but Olly Murs and Niall Horan are set to take a break from the recording studio to settle down on the sofa and watch some telly, just like the rest of us.

Appearing on this Friday’s Stand Up To Cancer Gogglebox special, the pair will share their opinions on the week’s television alongside the reality show’s regular stars, so expect ‘TV Watching Goals’ to become a thing post-broadcast.

The two singers will join England footballers Jamie Vardy, Daniel Sturridge and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on Gogglebox’s third celebrity special, which will be dedicated to the late Caroline Aherne.

Speaking about the upcoming show, Olly told Mail Online: “I’m such a big fan of Gogglebox so being able to be on it with Niall is amazing, especially when it’s for such a brilliant cause like Stand Up To Cancer. We all need to play a part in beating cancer so let’s all join together and raise as much as we can.”

Niall added: “Olly and I had a great laugh filming Gogglebox and hope that we can raise as much as possible for such a great cause. With every penny raised going towards finding cures for cancer, we’re honoured to be a part of Stand Up To Cancer’s fundraising this year.”

Reaching peak bromance levels, the two stars exchanged posts about the one-off episode, with Olly tweeting last night: “@NiallOfficial @C4Gogglebox @SU2C such a laugh mate!! Next time at your gaff!!”

And Niall writing: “Had some laugh with @ollyofficial doing @C4Gogglebox at ollys house for the @SU2C special. Can’t wait to watch it back. (sic)”
