Olympic Swimmer's Alaska Hometown Celebrates Her Gold Medal Win

Lydia Jacoby, the first Alaskan-born swimmer to compete in the Olympics, won gold during the women’s 100-meter breaststroke at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games on July 27, much to the joy of her small hometown of Seward.

This video taken by Instagram user @dietznate in Seward, Alaska, shows a crowd cheering Jacoby’s win.
