A roof was blown off a church in Hays, Kansas, and at least 20 trucks were blown over as storms with wind gusts up to 80 miles per hour buffeted the state on August 13, local media reported.

The windstorms also tore down part of a wall around the Fort Hays State University campus power plant.

More than 7,000 people were left without power during the storms, local media reported.
