Yahoo News Once Upon a Time season 7 reveals first look at Tiana
We've had glimpses of Dania Ramirez and Gabrielle Anwar on the show, but now Once Upon a Time has given us our first look at Tiana in action.
Mekia Cox is joining the cast of ABC's drama for its seventh season as The Princess and the Frog protagonist (she was upped from recurring to series regular last month), and TVLine tweeted this picture of the new character:

The publication also revealed some scoop about Tiana and what fans can expect from her when season seven kicks off later this year.
Tiana will first appear in episode 3 'The Garden of Forking Paths', but things aren't going quite right for her.
"We meet Tiana in a fairy tale realm in turmoil," showrunners Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis said. "She's a princess with a mission - to restore freedom to her people.
"Tiana's most defining characteristic is her strength. She's been through a lot when we meet her, but she never wavers even when doubting oneself would seem to be the most logical, and safe, course of action."

Robin Givens was previously confirmed to be playing Tiana's mother Eudora, described as a "benevolent noblewoman" (via Entertainment Weekly).
We also know that Tiana's cursed counterpart is named Sabine, and that episode five 'Greenbacks' is a Tiana-centric hour.
Once Upon a Time season seven is undergoing a reboot of sorts, with the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla), Hook (Colin O'Donoghue), and Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) also getting new identities under the new curse set by Anwar's Lady Tremaine (aka Cinderella's wicked stepmother).
Regina is now going by the name Roni and runs her own bar. Nice.
Once Upon a Time returns to ABC on Friday, October 6.
