Once Upon a Time's Colin O'Donoghue set to make TV comeback

Once Upon a Time star Colin O'Donoghue is set to make his TV comeback.

Deadline reports the actor, who played Wish Hook on the show until it ended last year, will return to screens in the National Geographic series The Right Stuff.

Based on Tom Wolfe’s best-selling nonfiction book, The Right Stuff follows the Project Mercury group of astronauts who alongside their families, become instant celebrities as they compete to become the first men to successfully enter space.

Colin O’Donoghue will portray Lt. Gordon Cooper in the series, who has also previously been portrayed by Dennis Quaid.

Initially, Colin's role was set to go to Game of Thrones star Joe Dempsie, who was forced to exit the series because of visa issues.

He will star alongside Patrick J. Adams and Jake McDorman in the series, as well as Aaron Staton, Michael Trotter, Micah Stock and James Lafferty.

Leonardo DiCaprio will serve as executive producer on the show, with Mark Lafferty acting as showrunner.

Colin's casting follows the happy ending his character received in Once Upon A Time.

He spoke previously about the "heartbreaking" and "beautiful" moment.

The Right Stuff will premiere globally on National Geographic in 2020.
