One-day drinks festival dedicated to locally made spirits returns
A one-day drinks festival dedicated to locally made spirits is returning for 2024. Following the sell-out success of last year, Spirit of the South West returns for its second edition in Bristol on November 9.
Described as being the 'only festival dedicated exclusively to spirits producers from the region', it will take place at Spirited's North Street shop, and will see top producers from Bristol, Gloucestershire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall come together for "a celebration of the quality, craftmanship and innovation that has risen up in recent years to make the West Country one of the most notable spirits producing regions in the UK".
The festival will run across two sessions, where attendees can meet the faces behind their favourite drinks and possibly discover some new favourites in the process. The event will run from 2pm until 8pm and will include sampling drinks, listening to stories, sipping on cocktails and other 'surprises'.

Confirmed attendees so far include Circumstance Distillery - Bristol's first whisky distillery in nearly a century, Silver Circle - a craft distillery based less than 30 miles from the city, Retribution - the Frome-based rum and whisky producer, and Pocketful of Stones - who will be bringing rum, gin, tequila and whisky all the way from Penzance.
Tickets for the festival are priced at £15 and include a discount on any bottles purchased, alongside the opportunity to sample spirits from all of the producers in attendance. Alongside the distillers, beer will be provided by Good Chemistry, in addition to soft drinks and food. You can buy your tickets here.
Katy Kennedy, founder of Spirited and Spirit of the South West, said: “Last year was even more successful than we could have hoped with two sell-out sessions and some 16 distilleries represented. We’re returning bigger and better this year with increased capacity and even more distilleries present to showcase the amazing spirits they produce. It’s going to be an epic day once again!”
