One of the largest outdoor ice rinks outside London returns to Surrey town this Christmas
The winter of 2024 is setting up to be full of icy and festive fun in Reigate as Reigate & Banstead Borough Council is welcoming back the Matthews Organisation and its festive skating experience which includes one of the largest temporary winter rinks outside of London.
The ice rink is suitable for skaters with extensive experience as well as complete beginners. The ice rink is 25m x 20m, providing a 500 square metre ice pad and is covered by a clear span tent which will provide protection from all forms of weather.
Reigate on Ice not only offers an ice skating experience, but the winter event also includes other attractions such as family rides, food stalls, a bar and live music. The family rides on offer include the 'Santa Express' and a Carousel; both described as being 'perfect for little ones'. The food stalls available will sell a vast array of festive foods such as German sausages, churros, marshmallows and 'smores' and many others.
