Millions Of People Are Gasping In Disbelief Over The New Styles Of UGGs, And What They're Being Compared To Is Hilarious

UGGs have stood the test of time.

Australian surfer Brian Smith first created UGGs in 1978 after moving to California to pursue a footwear line. The first style was called the Classic Boot — and by the mid-'80s the brand became popular. However, it really took off in the early '00s, when celebs started sporting them.

While several new styles have dropped, the most common one that people seem shocked over is the high-heeled boot called the New Heights Platform Xtra.

Here she be:

A pair of tall, tan suede boots with chunky platform heels and decorative stitching

And here's a version that doesn't go up your leg:

They are being compared to the boots the Bratz Dolls wear.

And people can't get over them.

In the "new arrivals" section, you'll find more tall boots, some without heels but decked out in "ruffles":

Knee-high boot with a ruched design, featuring a zipper and unique spiked detailing along the front. The sole is chunky with an angular shape

People are also having big feelings over the Pumped Slide:

Tan suede slipper with a soft, rounded design and a fluffy interior. The sole is grooved for extra grip. A comfortable footwear option for indoor use

The slides are being compared to Zambonis — the machines that resurface ice rinks for hockey and skating.

If you're having trouble picturing it, here is one for reference:

Others believe they resemble capybaras — the largest rodents in the world.

If you're also having trouble picturing one of those, here ya go:

Hooves and camel toes are another comparison.

As well as orthopedic shoes.

Oh, and if you've never seen The Chronicles of Narnia, people say they remind them of something Mr. Tumnus would wear.

Another new release called the Classic Ultra Mini New Heights is also getting big reactions:

And even though they seem to be preferred over the Pumped Slide...

Comment by milkygreen77 saying, "Ultra mini New heights aren’t that bad BUT ngl the first pair you showed is giving loaf of bread, I meeeean" with emojis

The consensus seems simple: Most people just want classic UGGs.

MrsMorris: I just want the traditional Uggs... like I don’t think that’s too much to ask for
@cawffeenutt / tiktok.com

Especially since '90s/'00s fashion is back in.

Comment from Private Girl Club: "We asked for the Ugg's from the early 2000s not this! Ugg needs a serious rebrand, more collab would have worked perfectly."

Either way, one thing remains clear:
