Fred Warner, 46, was stunned to spot the first car he ever drove, a Citroen 2cv Charleston, at a vintage car show in Loughborough, 25 years after his mother sold it. The car, which Fred’s father bought in 1983 for £4K, is now worth over £10,000 and was being showcased by its current owner. Fred instantly recognized the car by its license plate and was able to sit in it once more, feeling a mix of nostalgia and surprise. He was pleased to see it well cared for, though he didn’t feel the need to buy it back.

Teenagers died after car collided with tree in Staffordshire crash
Dafydd Huw Craven-Jones, 18, and Morgan Jones, 17, from Wrexham, North Wales, and 17-year-old Sophie Bates from Stafford died after the crash on 25 May last year. Staffordshire Coroner's Court heard Mr Craven-Jones was the driver of the black Ford KA when it collided "head-on with an established tree" off the B5012 Cannock Road, in Pilkington. Assistant coroner Kelly Dixon recorded a short form cause of death as road traffic collision.
