One person injured after fire in Camborne

A flat fire broke out in Cornwall this morning, Saturday, February 1, injuring one person. Cornwall Fire & Rescue were called to a residential property on New Street, Troon, Camborne, at around 05:36 a.m.

Two fire engines were dispatched from Tolvaddon to extinguish a fire in the first-floor bedroom of the residential property. The fire was extinguished; however, one person had to receive medical attention from the ambulance service.

A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire & Rescue said: "Two appliances from Tolvaddon responded to this incident. On arrival a fire in a first floor bedroom of the residential property was discovered.

"Firefighters extinguished the fire and one person received first aid. Ambulance also attended this incident."
