UPDATE: One person killed in Union County crash, another seriously injured

Mar. 27—LEWISBURG — One man was killed and another suffered critical injuries Tuesday afternoon when a vehicle veered off Colonel John Kelly Road in Union County and crashed into a parked vehicle, state police at Milton said.

Chad Terry, 36, of Lewisburg, was ejected from the parked vehicle involved in the accident and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred at 4:24 p.m. on Colonel John Kelly Road, just east of Hospital Drive in Kelly Township.

State police at Milton said Andrew J. Terry, 34, of Lewisburg, was driving west on Colonel John Kelly Road when he lost control of his vehicle. The 2000 Dodge pickup truck went off the road and struck the other vehicle, which was parked along the south side of the road in the driveway of Stoltzfus Grain.

Police said the collision caused the parked vehicle, occupied by Marc B. Terry, 65, of Lewisburg, and Chad E. Terry to overturn.

Marc Terry, who was in the driver's seat of the parked vehicle was seriously injured and transported by medical helicopter to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, police said. A nursing supervisor at Geisinger Medical said on Wednesday afternoon that Marc Terry was in critical condition.

Andrew Terry and a passenger in his vehicle, Kristopher J. Huber, 33, of Bloomsburg, were not injured, police said.
