ONE person has been taken to hospital after a car ended up on its side following a crash in Bournemouth.

The single crash in Bengal Road in Winton was reported to police at 1.17pm.

One patient was taken to Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We received a report at 1.17pm of a single vehicle collision in Bengal Road in Bournemouth involving a car that was on its side.

“Officers have attended, along with the fire and ambulance services.

“There are no reports of any serious injuries. Recovery is being arranged.”

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 13.23hrs to a road traffic incident in Bournemouth. We sent a double-crewed land ambulance, and an operations officer.

“We conveyed one patient to Royal Bournemouth Hospital.”

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to a two-vehicle crash at the junction of Norton Road and Bengal Road, Bournemouth at 1.22pm.

Two crews attended, from Redhill Park and Springbourne, and found one vehicle on its side with one woman needing to be extricated.

The woman was cut free and handed into the care of the ambulance service.
