One person taken to hospital after three-vehicle collision on A189 near Cramlington
One person has been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle collision on the A189 in Cramlington.
The person has been taken to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital after the collision, which happened shortly after 8.15am on Wednesday.
Northumbria Police and the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) both attended the incident.

In a statement, a spokesperson for NEAS said: "We were called to a road traffic incident on Wednesday 5 February at 8.30am on the A189, Blyth. We dispatched one crew to the incident and one patient was taken to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital."
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police added: "Shortly after 8.15am today (Wednesday), we received a report of a three-vehicle collision on the A189 Spine Road southbound in Cramlington, close to the Three Horse Shoes roundabout.
"Emergency services are currently in attendance. The southbound lane is currently closed. Motorists are recommended to use alternative routes where possible."
The road has since reopened since the collision, after being closed for around 90 minutes. Traffic on the road has eased and started to flow again.
