Yahoo News One Show viewers slam Harry Potter star for mocking Mr Tumble's weight
Many of those watching The One Show tonight (October 21) were left outraged after children's TV presenter Mr Tumble had his weight mocked live on air.
The incident occurred during Monday's show when Mr Tumble (aka Justin Fletcher) was a guest alongside Harry Potter and Call the Midwife actress Miriam Margolyes on the BBC One chat show.
The studio was filled with children taking part in a Q&A for Fletcher's numerous CBBC shows — and they were also witness to an awkward on-air exchange.
At one point, Margolyes made fun of Fletcher's weight after presenter Michelle Ackerley made mention that the actress was "very busy" with new projects.
"I'm doing a series on obesity," Margolyes answered. "About which I know a great deal being a very fat person."
Then, Margolyes turned to Fletcher and quipped: "You're not slim, are you?"
Margolyes, the One Show presenters and everyone on set reacted by chuckling at Margolyes's attempt at a joke, with Fletcher himself laughing it off too.
Presenter Amol Rajan did eventually interject to tell Fletcher: "I think you look terrific, Justin."
Later in the show, Margolyes zinged her fellow guest once again when she made it clear she had no clue who the the voice of Shaun the Sheep was.
"It's interesting because I've never seen you before. I don't have children, I don't watch CBBC," she told him. "He's a great big star, and I've never met him before!"
While the mood in the studio was friendly throughout, many viewers thought it was totally unfair for Fletcher to endure jokes about his weight on-air:

Margolyes has been involved in awkward on-air moments before. This Morning showed footage of her farting during an interview last year.
