The One Show's Alex Jones has shared a troubling update on her co-presenter Matt Baker's health.
Baker has been working from home with his family in self-isolation all week as a precautionary measure, though he started suspecting he might have COVID-19 because he was "not feeling as good" as normal.
The presenter did not check in via video as per usual during Friday's (March 20) episode of The One Show, but Alex Jones did update viewers on how her co-host was holding up.
"I spoke to Matt Baker a bit earlier," she revealed. "He felt super groggy, really tired. We don't know if he's got coronavirus of course, but [he's] really not very well."
A BBC spokesperson confirmed: "We were looking forward to having Kym guest present alongside Alex tonight, but sadly she is displaying flu-like symptoms and in line with all official advice is self-isolating with her family."
The two presenters moved far apart on the green sofa as Jones introduced Ramsey as someone who "always cheers us up even while keeping a safe distance".
The One Show airs Mondays to Fridays on BBC One.
