One taken to hospital after four fire engines called to house blaze in Llangollen

A person has been taken to hospital following a house fire in Llangollen, Denbighshire. It broke out on Maes Pengwern shortly before 9.45pm last night (Friday).

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service sent three engines and an aerial ladder platform to the scene. A spokesperson confirmed the cause as accidental and there was 70% fire damage to the living room. The incident was over by 12.45am this morning. There were no further details on the condition of the person taken to hospital.

The service was also later called to a flat blaze on Maes Glanarfon, in Llanfiarfechan, Conwy, at 11.45pm. Four engines were sent to the scene. The incident was over by 2.15am, but there were no further details currently on the the damage or cause.
