This is the only way Keanu Reeves will do Matrix 4

From Digital Spy

Keanu Reeves sounds more excited than ever about the possibility of a fourth Matrix movie… if his demands are met.

Long before Keanu was icing deadly assassins in the John Wick movies, he helped create a genre-defying science franchise with directors Lana and Lilly Wachowski.

14 years on since The Matrix Revolutions arrived in cinemas, Keanu and Laurence Fishburne are back together in John Wick : Chapter 2. But is it possible they'd work together again on a Matrix sequel?

"The Wachowskis would have to be involved," Keanu told Yahoo News. "They would have to write it and direct it, and then we'd see where the story is.

"It'd be weird, but why not? I don't know... People die, stories don't!"

Of course, any new Matrix movie would have to explain how Neo survived his war with Smith in Revolutions - but the Wachowskis have surprised with many stranger mind-bending twists over the years.

It probably wouldn't take much to convince Warner Bros to get behind a Matrix 4 either, since the original trilogy made the studio more than $1.5 billion dollars over the years.

Clearly the decision lies with the Wachowskis - so get to work, you two!

Keanu has a few other major sequels in the works in the next few years. For starters, he hasn't given up hope yet on the long-awaited Bill & Ted 3 finally getting off the ground.

John Wick: Chapter 2 director Chad Stahelski also revealed to Digital Spy that a proposed third film in his series could move the assassin-killing action to the UK.

"We talked about the UK, Paris, we'd love to do the Middle East and Asia, those are our hotspots," he teased. "Something like that will gestate, I'm sure. I would like to end it in New York, where we started. To go full circle."

John Wick: Chapter 2 is now playing in UK and US cinemas.
