An elephant got stuck briefly with its giant bum in the air as it tried to cross a high fence in southern India on 16 November. Fortunately, the jumbo did eventually manage to get over the barrier in the Veeranahosahalli range of Nagarhole National Park in Karnataka. But not without an inelegant wriggle as its hind legs swung in the air and it used its front legs to pull its weight forward. It is not clear if the fence was designed to stop elephants from crossing.
