Oprah changed her dress because it was 'too white' and caught a bus to the royal wedding

The royal wedding was graced with a plethora of famous faces, not least American icon Oprah Winfrey.

However, the TV legend had to have a wardrobe change at the last minute, after her chosen dress was ‘too white’, according to her close pal Gayle King on CBS This Morning.

Arriving at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in a lavender dress and hat combo, Oprah looked stunning. But she changed her style choice on Friday, when she discovered that her original outfit was, in fact, ‘too white’, said King, who added that designer Stella McCartney got her a new dress sorted at the eleventh hour.

‘.@OPRAH has arrived to the ! “She had a little bit of a wedding emergency yesterday.” — Best friend @GayleKing says’, CBS This Morning tweeted.

‘.@Oprah was told she needed to leave three hours early to make it on time for the #RoyalWedding. She had to take a bus. “I said Oprah has to ride the bus? Oprah is not a bus person. Has she been informed?!” — @GayleKing’

Imagine jumping on a bus to see none other than the legendary Oprah delving into her purse for a few quid, and looking out for the correct stop to get off.
