Orange Is the New Black teases fans over Alex's fate

Although the trailer for the sixth season of Orange Is the New Black has got fans hyped, there's been one big question that's overshadowed the excitement.

Just where the heck is Alex Vause?

Despite Alex, played by Laura Prepon, being one of the main characters in the Netflix drama since its first season back in 2013, there's been absolutely no sign of her in any of the promo for season six.

And it seems the show's producers are happy to play with fans' emotions over the lack of Alex, as they've tweeted a video of Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) playing classic game show Jeopardy – and she's breaking our hearts as her answer to every question is: "Where is Alex?"

Host Alex Trebek isn't exactly keen to put Piper – and us – out of our misery though, as his answer to Piper's desperate question is: "Here, bitch."

To be fair, she didn't specify which Alex...

Alex (Vause, that is) was last seen at the end of season five in a converted bunker at Litchfield, holding hands with her fellow convicts as CERT officers broke in.

But despite the fact that others from the bunker, including Piper, Suzanne Warren (Uzo Aduba) and Tasha 'Taystee' Jefferson (Danielle Brooks), have featured prominently in trailers for the sixth season, Alex has been nowhere to be seen.

Thankfully, we don't have too long to wait until we'll (hopefully) find out what's happened to her, as the new season will drop on Netflix on July 27.

But the fact that Prepon tweeted a photo of herself with Schilling on set earlier this year is a pretty good indication that she'll be in this season at some point...
