The celebrity couple took their vows on Saturday, March 25, in Palm Springs, six months after getting engaged, and beautiful pictures have emerged of the couple in bespoke Christian Siriano bridalwear on their big day; with Samira wearing a stunning snow-white gown and Lauren slaying a one-piece trouser suit and veil.

Samira and Lauren started dating back in 2014 following Lauren’s split from her husband Steve Basilone after two years of marriage. The writer came out in May 2014 in a frank essay, where she opened up about when she realised she was gay.

The beaming stars walked down the aisle to Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby’ whilst ‘This Is How We Do It’ was also played at the lavish wedding. The outdoor ceremony had a personal touch, too, as it was officiated by Samira’s parents.

Following the ceremony, the happy couple danced the night away with guests at the reception, which was decorated with lights, garlands and stunning floral bouquets for the table.

The wooden tables were decorated with black and white plates, completing the look with white and gold cutlery and a mix of different coloured glasses, Martha Stewart Weddings magazine reports.

The couple previously announced their engagement in a sweet message on social media, sharing a picture of the pair posing with her ring, Samira simply captioned it: “Yes.”

Whilst Lauren took to Twitter to thank their fans for the celebratory messages, adding: “You guys! Thank you for all of the lovely messages and hysterical crying gifs. We love you too!”

In Lauren’s essay about coming out, she revealed working on ‘Orange Is The New Black’ made her realise she was gay as she felt more comfortable around lesbians, and said: “I realised I was gay in fall 2012, one of my first days on the set. It wasn’t so much one thing, but the sum of many small details: how uncomfortable I felt around groups of lesbians or how I considered myself a “not very sexual person.”

When considered alone, these seemed like little quirks that made me me. Wanting to read a book instead of have sex is a perfectly reasonable preference to have, right?”
