The Bootleg Fire burning in southern Oregon grew to nearly 77,000 acres and was zero percent contained as of the morning of July 10, according to officials.
Evacuations had been ordered in several parts of Klamath County, and other communities were placed on high alert. Some 580 personnel were involved in efforts to contain the blaze, which has been fueled by hot and dry conditions.
