Hold the phone, guys. It looks like Sugababes are back with their original line-up.

OG Sugababe Keisha Buchanan took to Twitter yesterday (August 16) to explain how a recent story had sensationalised a joke she made about Prince Charles.

"My friend hit me up today about an article in the paper telling the story of how I made a 'joke' regarding Prince Charles," wrote Buchanan.

"I absolutely love EVERYONE in the Royal family & like most people Diana. There was nothing to sensational about it."

But that wasn't all.

After sorting that little misunderstanding, Keisha dropped another juicy nugget that pushed all of our buttons (sorry, not sorry).

"Oh and for the record I'm a Sugababe! Not (ex)," she added.

Sugababes' original line-up of Siobhán Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan reunited in 2011 as pop trio Mutya, Keisha, Siobhán.

Together they released one new single, 'Flatline', that failed to break the UK Top 40.

At the time, they were unable to make use of the band's official name as new members Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen (who replaced the trio in 2001, 2005 and 2009, respectively) owned the copyright.

However, Keisha has hinted the girls have regained ownership of the moniker.

In a later post on Instagram, the London-born singer teased a snippet of a brand new song with a message that suggested new music was on the way.

"We WILL be snatching wigs when we are ready!" wrote the star. "We will explain the delay when it's time."

Siobhán had already confirmed the band were working on new music back in June.

In an interview on podcast Bottle Pop with Tom Aspaul, Siobhán said the girls' relationship was "stronger than ever" and insisted a new album "will happen".

"We're still working together. That's really easy to [say] and reassure fans," she added."Things were really difficult when we were teenagers."

"Then we got back together and you've got to go through that full circle of almost like therapy of working out who you are now and what happened back then. We've done all that now."
