Earlier this week it was announced that Orla Kiely had ceased trading.

On September 17, the Irish designer's stores in London and Ireland closed with immediate effect. The brand released a statement saying: “Thank you for embracing our brand and designs throughout the years and for your ongoing support.”

For those who have a soft spot for Kiely's signature 1970s-inspired prints, which over the years have adorned everything from dresses to bedding and bags, fans will currently be on the hunt to get their hands on the last remaining stock - and here's how:

1. John Lewis

If it's homeware you're after, such as the designer's bright and bold range of bedding, curtains or cushions in her signature Stem prints, pop down to your local John Lewis or scroll through the online store.

Although Kiely's own website has now shut down, distributors (John Lewis being the biggest) will continue to carry the brand's accessories and homeware creations.

“Orla Kiely’s Home and Design licensing business will not be impacted and its selection of accessories and homewares will continue to be sold through its distribution partners," says the statement on Kiely's website.

2. eBay

If it's clothing you're after second-hand sites such as eBay are now your best bet. But, be prepared to pay well over the retail price.

An Orla Kiely rain coat is currently available to purchase on the site for £1,000, meanwhile a pretty floral dress is up for £680 and the last Orla Kiely dress Kate Middleton was seen sporting is going for £400.

3. Vestiare

If buying second hand items off strangers causes you slight shopping anxiety, head to pre-owned luxury fashion shop Vestiare Collective.

The website specialises in second-hand luxury items and all garments have been authenticated and quality checked by in-house experts prior to being sold.

Time to shop around for your favourite Orla Kiely print before it's too late.
