Oscar Pistorius Home Will Not Become Party House for 'Hot Girls’, Say Businessmen

Two businessmen renting the home where Oscar Pistorius killed his girlfriend have apologised for appearing in a video in which they said they would turn the property into a party house.

In the footage, captured by journalists from Netwerk24, David Scott, 33, and Kagiso Mokoape boasted about filling the home with “hot girls”.

Pistorius, who has just been released under house arrest, shot and killed girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in the house in 2013. He claimed he thought she was an intruder. He was jailed for one year.

Earlier this month, Scott and Mokoape were captured on video giving a tour of the house. In the clip, they drank beer and bragged about turning the home into a party house.

Scott said in the video: “This is an entertainer’s house. Oscar built this house to entertain. Hot girls can invite themselves.”

The video led to a wave of anger on social media, with many people calling it “sick”.

But the businessmen say the video was blown out of proportion and that they do not plan to host parties in the property.

They told the Pretoria East Rekord they didn’t know they were being filmed.

Scott said: “We were relaxed and fooling around. We were joking around, thinking we weren’t being recorded.

“What they left out was the part where we said we want to invite people over to view where it happened and all proceeds would be given to a charity for women and child abuse.”
