Oscars 2016: Michael Fassbender And Alicia Vikander Share A Sweet Kiss

Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander might not have been up for a PDA at this year’s BAFTAs, but it seems they weren’t feeling quite so shy at last night’s Oscars.

The couple have, understandably, kept their relationship pretty private so far, but they couldn’t resist sealing their romance with a sweet kiss as Alicia won her award.

The actress picked up the gong for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for ‘The Danish Girl’.

When her win was announced, Alicia first gave her mum a big hug before moving over to give Michael a kiss and basically confirm the couple’s relationship.

N’awww.

Though the pair have kept quiet about their romance, it’s reported that they met when filming ‘The Light Between Oceans’, where they play a married couple.

Alicia refrained from thanking Michael when she picked up her award, though, saying: “Wow. Thank you so much the Academy for this incredible recognition.

“I share this with our fabulous crew and cast and I want to thank Gale and Anne and Nina and Working Title and Tom, my director. Thank you so much for your support and belief in me.

“And Eddie, thank you for being the best acting partner, I couldn’t have done it without you, you raised my game.”

She also thanked her ‘dream team’, her friends and her mum and dad, adding: “Thanking you [mum and dad] for giving me the belief that anything can happen, even though I would never have believed this!”

Congratulations, Alicia!
