Three hours prior to host Jimmy Kimmel hitting the stage, the Oscars 2024 red carpet opened and unspooled high-wattage looks planned for weeks by star stylists and executed by iconic fashion and jewelry houses steeped in heritage and handcraft — but enough about guys at the 96th Academy Awards.
Male peacocks aside, the Oscar-night carpet is where grandeur and drama take center stage and social media conversations are sparked hours before the first envelope is torn open. From the chic-maverick approach of nominees Cillian Murphy, Ryan Gosling and Colman Domingo to the appearances of red carpet stars like Zendaya, Florence Pugh and Lupita Nyong’o, the 2024 Oscars are once again proving to be the Super Bowl of Hollywood style.
