The Other Art Fair returns this weekend, offering Londoners the chance to snap up artworks by the big names of tomorrow.
Opening today (March 30) and running until Sunday (April 2), the fair is held at Victoria House and is the UK’s leading art fair for emerging and unrepresented artists.
The fair, which is presented in association with Saatchi Art, has been running since 2011. Since then it has seen total sales of over £2.5 million and over 140,000 visitors.
If you’re interested in making a purchase, the fair will allow you to buy directly from the artists themselves. There will also be an opportunity to get an exclusive tour from curators at the fair and attend other events.
Photography, painting, sculpture and other works on paper will all be in display, and the ‘London Futures’ strand will offer the chance to see work by hand-picked artists who have never been exhibited in London before.
The fair’s guest artist this year will be Ben Eine, who began his career as an anonymous street artist. Limited edition prints of his work will be on sale. Previously the fair has welcomed Tracey Emin and Gavin Turk as guest artists.
A new scheme at the festival called Own Art will also making buy art more affordable for visitors. The scheme, initiated by the Arts Council, means buyers can spread the cost over 10 months with an interest free loan.
