Outlander boss warns fans 'prepare to be wrung out' for 'emotional rollercoaster' in season 7b
Outlander will soon return to our screens, with fans barely able to contain their excitement ahead of season 7, part 2. However, Executive Producer Maril Davis has warned viewers they are in for an “emotional rollercoaster”.
Later this month, we will see Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) and her husband Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) back in action as the Starz series returns for the second half of its penultimate season.
The cast of the epic fantasy romance show, based on author Diana Gabaldon’s popular book series of the same name, recently bid an emotional farewell after wrapping filming on the show’s eighth and final season.

Fans were in tears as the actors confirmed they had waved goodbye to Outlander for good after more than a decade and over 100 episodes, the final of which will air sometime next year.
Speaking at the Paley Center for Media yesterday, show boss Davis teased that fans should prepare for both joy and heartbreak.
She said: “I mean this is such a rollercoaster. [Season] 7b is such a rollercoaster. I always say this every season - I feel like I say, ‘Buckle your seatbelts.’
“But this one in particular is an emotional rollercoaster, so I think people should prepare to be, kind of… wrung out.”
It comes after a recent trailer for season 7b showed Outlander’s favourite couple Claire and Jamie being ripped apart once again.
The new teaser even implies Jamie has died, as Lord John Grey (David Berry) appears to break the terrible news to Claire that her husband is gone.
However, Claire remains unconvinced, defiantly stating: "I would feel it in my heart if it had stopped, mine would stop too."
It seems fans should not fear too much, as they have been promised a tear-jerking but ultimately happy finale to the show when season eight comes to an end.
Following the closure of Lionsgate+ in the UK, new episodes of Outlander will be available on Starz and to stream on Prime Video channel MGM+ from Sunday, November 22. You must be an Amazon Prime member before you can sign up for MGM+.
