Outlander's Sam Heughan warns fans 'your hearts will be torn to shreds' as season 7 returns
Ahead of Outlander’s long-awaited return, Starz has taken to Instagram to share a new clip teasing some heart-wrenching scenes ahead.
The account posted a video of show leads Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, who play Jamie and Claire Fraser, who gave some new insights into the second half of season 7.
The new episodes drop in exactly a week’s time, with fans nervously waiting to see what the epic fantasy series has in store for them next.
Following an earlier revelation that the season 7b finale would end on a shocking cliffhanger, Outlander stars Sam and Caitriona warned viewers their hearts would be “torn to shreds” in the new clip.

The pair replied to one Instagram comment, which read: “Caitriona and Sam serving in the acting department as usual. Can’t wait to have my heart torn apart in shreds.”
“Aagh, what is that sound?” Sam joked, as Caitriona replied: “You’re tearing my heart apart.”
“You’re tearing my guts out Claire!” Sam quipped, before continuing: “Yes, you are going to have your hearts torn to shreds this season, I promise. It’s a really good one.”
Caitriona added: “It’s super exciting, it’s very dramatic, we are trying to serve you all the drama and the love. And we’re super grateful for you guys watching, so stay tuned for season 7, part two!”
Fans took to the comments to express their excitement, with one writing: “SO stoked!! I’ve blocked out next weekend for whiskey and binge watching. *Sigh* I absolutely adore these two!!” (sic)
Another added: “From tomorrow. ONE. MORE. WEEK!!!!” (sic)
A third penned: “They are the best. Cannot wait for the next season! But also not sure if I’m ready to have my guts torn out.”
While one more commented: “I love them. They are the best thing to ever happen to Starz!”
It comes after the recent trailer for season 7b shows Claire and Jamie being ripped apart once again, even suggesting Jamie has died, as Lord John Grey (David Berry) appears to break the terrible news to Claire that her husband is gone.
However, Claire is not convinced, defiantly replying: "I would feel it in my heart if it had stopped, mine would stop too."
