EXPECT some bright and breezy weather, with some April showers thrown in, this weekend.

However, whatever you plan to do on Saturday and Sunday, make sure you have a brolly with you.

The latest forecast, from the Isle of Wight Met Service's Jamie Russell, suggests today's (Friday) blustery conditions will continue into the weekend.

Tomorrow (Saturday) will be cold and breezy, with showery rain at times — but perhaps a little more in the way of brightness for the afternoon.

Daytime temperatures will range between 8C and 10C, with winds fresh, north-westerly (16-29mph), becoming moderate, northerly (11-19mph), through the afternoon.

On Sunday, expect it to be chilly, but bright, with occasional sunny spells.

However, large areas of cloud will drift through from time to time.

Temperatures will be in the 9C to 10C range, with winds moderate, north-northeast (12-20mph).

The County Press team wishes you an enjoyable weekend — whatever the weather!
