Over-confident motorcyclist loses his bike trying to ford flooded Indian river

A flooded road in India didn't stop one bull-headed biker from trying to cross through the torrential current.

Local villagers from Hingangaon village in Kavathe-Mahankal taluk, Maharashtra had gathered to watch the road, which had been submerged by floodwaters.

They cautioned a bike rider who wanted to get to the other side not to cross the road as the current was too strong.

The young man ignored their advice and plunged ahead, but half way into the road, the strong current swept away his bike.

The rider fortunately was not caught himself, but had to let go of his ride, which was dragged downriver. He then walked to the other side.
