Overnight Rockets Damage Residential Area of Kramatorsk

At least 11 rockets struck the city of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine overnight, leaving a residential sector in “ruins” Ukrainian officials said on August 12.

The Donetsk State Administration urged people to leave the area as mandatory evacuations issued by President Zelensky on July 30 are still in place.

“Everyone is alive, thank God,” said a local resident in the footage, who added that her home was struck by fragments of a rocket that landed 10 houses down. This footage shows community members coming together to clean up the morning after the strikes.

Pavlo Kyrilenko, Head of the Regional Military Administration, confirmed that there were no casualties from the attack but said that the rockets left behind the “usual picture of the burnt earth.” Credit: Donetsk State Administration via Storyful
