Owners create their own White House after painting three-bed home entirely WHITE

It might not be the real White House, but a once-humble home in Yorkshire is attracting attention after its owner painted it entirely WHITE.

The three-bedroom detached home certainly stands out in the street after it was given a makeover – with its chimney, roof tiles, driveway and garden fence all covered in white paint.

The owners didn’t stop there, with eye-catching additions to the unusual home in Headingley, Leeds, also including a silver model rocket and bronze-coloured bust of Italian opera composer Giuseppe Verdi.

The bright abode seems to have got the seal of approval from neighbours, with one who lives close by saying: “I think he has done a smashing job with it – it improves the look of the street. The owner is a smashing bloke too.”

Others living nearby took to social media to share their thoughts on their very own White House.

Neil Watson posted: “If the owners like it what does it matter? People spend far too much time bothered about what others are doing and not enough looking at themselves. Let them enjoy their home how they want it.”

And Annabelle Baron-Medlam added: “I think it looks very smart!”
