Oxford Circus incident: share your eyewitness accounts

There was confusion in central London on Friday evening as armed police responded to an incident on Oxford Street.

Pictures on social media showed London’s main shopping street deserted apart from police and emergency vehicles, but after just over an hour the police said they had found “no evidence of shots fired or casualties” and declared the incident to be over.
