Ozzy Osbourne cancels more tour dates due to pneumonia

Ozzy Osbourne has been forced to cancel more tour dates as he recovers from a bout of pneumonia.

The former Black Sabbath singer had already called off the UK and European legs of his No More Tours 2. Due to poor health, he has now cancelled further planned performances in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

In a statement on his website at the time, Osbourne said he was “devastated” but determined to reschedule the dates for September.

Sharon Osbourne has now said in a tweet that her husband was through the worst, but his doctors have advised that he stay at home to recuperate for six weeks.

"Ozzy has announced the cancelation of shows in Australia, New Zealand & Japan," the tweet said.

“Ozzy recently developed pneumonia & has spent some time in hospital. He is through the worst part. His doctors have advised that he stay at home to recuperate for full 6 weeks.”

It was announced in February last year that No More Tours 2 would be the Grammy Award-winning rock singer's final full world tour.

The 70-year-old is due to begin a tour of North America with Megadeth in May.

There has not yet been an announcement about whether the concerts will be rescheduled
