The Pact spoilers follow.
The Pact stars Abbie Hern and Heledd Gwynn have opened up about a potential Tish and Cat romance.
The two are among the suspects in Jack's (Aneurin Barnard) death, now that we know he didn't suffer a heart attack or drug overdose. Both also had significant reasons for wanting Jack dead.
A flash of chemistry was seen between the pair in The Pact's second episode, after it was revealed that Cat (Gwynn) caught Jack trying to assault Tish (Hern) at their work party.
In a recent interview with Digital Spy and other media, both cast members spoke about whether being pulled into the murder investigation could bring Cat and Tish closer together in the long run.
"I think for Cat, letting people in as friends is difficult," Gwynn admitted. "There's a process to go through to find trust there and I feel like she's gone through that with the women that we meet in the brewery – so I think adding someone else is going to take some time and it isn't going to be a simple process.
"I think that there's definitely potential there for more of a relationship. But when we're also dealing with an unexpected death, you also have to deal with doubt, and trust doesn't come easily."
Hern suggested that Tish might be more open to finding solace in Cat since she was a lifeline during a traumatic moment.
"Tish has so much empathy and she really sees something in Cat, and maybe wants to find out more," Hern told us. "And I think she likes to be protected too, and Cat gives off those vibes immediately. There's a protection there that Tish also really admires in Cat and the group as a whole. Tish really admires and wants to be part of that."
Find out what happens between the pair when The Pact continues for episodes three and four on BBC One on Monday, May 24 and Tuesday, May 25. All six episodes are available to stream now on BBC iPlayer.
