Paddy McGuinness issues 'nerve-wracking' career update
BBC Inside the Factory host Paddy McGuinness announced a "nerve-wracking" career update as he appeared on ITV's This Morning alongside Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley. He announced he is returning to stand-up comedy after eight years away from the live stage.
Paddy talked about how he still gets nervous before his live shows. Speaking to the ITV presenters, the 51-year old said: "It's weird because it's nerve-wracking. Every time, even when I've done arenas and everything in the past, I always get that moment, just before I go on stage, where I think, 'I can't do it'.
"I'm freaking out! But when you get on and you do the first five minutes and people start laughing, it's a lovely feeling." Cat Deeley praised Paddy for his confidence to appear solo on stage. He admitted he never struggles with what to say, but understands that some things may be taken out of context.

He said: "Everything these days can be taken out of context and clickbait and everything else. I just thought, 'If I stress about that I'll never get up on stage.' So I've done it and it honestly has been brilliant."
Although he took a break over the Christmas months, Paddy is back on tour and revealed that his upcoming destination is Cornwall, the Mirror reports. During their conversation, Ben asked if Paddy had ever received a negative response from the audience while performing.
Paddy shared that he hadn't, but recounted an incident from nearly two decades ago when he performed at a corporate event for Celtic football club.
He explained: "It was for Celtic (football club), this was about 17 years ago. The two acts they booked were me and Simple Minds. I was on last, so I had to follow Simple Minds at Celtic.
