Drug dealers from Ashford who tried jumping out of a window and avoiding officers have been jailed following an investigation by Kent Police. Dylan Skenderi, of Barnett Field and Reece Parker, of Crownfield Road, were each given custodial sentences after they admitted to being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

The investigation led to drug supply lines in Ashford being dismantled after detectives identified telephone numbers used to send bulk messages to drug users, including known users in the town. Between October and December 2023, the bulk messages were sent from phone numbers that investigators from the force were able to link to Skenderi.

Mobile phone evidence also showed that Parker was connected with Skenderi and with a drugs supply line between November and December 2023. On December 20, 2023, officers attended Skenderi’s home address where they found Parker attempting to jump from a window. Skenderi was found in the garden having already leapt from the property.

Skenderi and Parker were arrested and wraps, together with cannabis and various drugs paraphernalia were recovered from the scene, along with several mobile phones. A search of Parker’s home address also led to a large wrap of cocaine and a large quantity of cash being seized.

Both Skenderi and Parker were later charged. Whilst awaiting a court appearance, Skenderi was further arrested on 24 July 2024 in Ashford after officers again suspected him of drug dealing. During the arrest, Skenderi attempted unsuccessfully to discard a mobile, thought to be a burner phone, and it was seized as evidence.

The following day he was charged with offences relating to dealing drugs between June and July 2024. Skenderi, 19, was sentenced to three years and six months in prison on September 13 at Canterbury Crown Court, after pleading guilty to offences of drug supply relating to the sale of crack cocaine and heroin.

Parker, 20, pleaded guilty and was jailed for two years and nine months on the same day. Detective Constable Holly Bayliss said: "The misery caused by substance abuse extends beyond drug users, it ripples out through communities, impacting on residents and businesses, which is why we work so hard to stamp out drug supply lines and bring the criminals behind them to justice.

"Skenderi showed complete contempt in continuing to deal drugs even whilst on bail. The efforts of Skenderi and Parker to target drug users have been brought to a halt and I am pleased that they are now both behind bars."
