Paisley cops recover £100k of drugs from two properties as man and woman arrested

Police in Paisley have seized £100K worth of drugs from two local properties.

Officers searched the homes on Glenshira Avenue and Waverly Road on Friday (July 5). A quantity of Class A drugs were recovered, including heroin and cannabis.

Police Scotland confirmed that a 50-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with drug offences. They are due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today (Monday, July 8).

Detective Inspector Neil Martin said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and Police Scotland is committed to disrupting the cultivation and sale of illegal substances.

“The public has an important role to play and we encourage anyone with information or concerns about drugs to contact us via 101 or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
