Pamela Anderson was looking very different on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival as she debuted a brand new look over the weekend.

The 49-year-old has ditched the flowing blonde locks for a wet, slicked-back style, and we honestly think we would not have recognised her.

As well as surprising people on the red carpet, Pamela's recent media appearances have left us all scratching our heads a bit.

After all, she recently argued that men should not drink from plastic bottles as they contain oestrogen. Why, you ask?

Well, the model has described herself as an "anti-feminist", explaining: "We are becoming more androgynous as a species.

"Men get weaker in an authoritarian environment; they don't need to be as manly. And women are working… who's watching the kids? I may get some heat for this, but I'd consider myself an 'anti-feminist'.

"I obviously believe in treating people fairly, but men and women are different for a reason, with very important roles to play."

She also made headlines this year for her rumoured relationship with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who has been holed up in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for a number of years.

"I met him through Vivienne Westwood... we started seeing each other every month, and now we see each other a lot more regularly," she previously said.

"I do really think he's one of the most important people in the world, and I think what he does is historic. He's very brave and he sacrificed a lot for all of us. He's brilliant, so stay tuned."

Hmm… sure.
