A pair of giant pandas enjoyed wintry playtime at Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington on Sunday, January 31, as heavy snowfall blanketed the capital.
Footage from the zoo shows giant pandas Mei Xiang and Tian Tian making the most of the conditions as they slip and slide around their enclosure.
The Smithsonian remains closed to visitors due to the pandemic, but its panda cam is available online.
The snowfall, which the National Weather Service said could continue until Tuesday, was the most significant in nearly two years, the Washington Post said. Credit: Smithsonian’s National Zoo via Storyful
