Pantomimes across Cambridgeshire to watch with your family this Christmas
The Christmas season has well and truly started with markets popping up across Cambridgeshire and decorations adorning houses. However, if you are not in a Christmassy mood yet, there are plenty of things happening across the county to get you feeling more ready for the holiday season.
From Santa's grottos to a fun day ice skating, locals are lucky that Cambridgeshire fully embraces the Christmas spirit and puts on a range of family-friendly events to get involved in. A trip to the theatre to watch a pantomime might be the ideal day out to keep your children entertained over the Christmas holidays.

1. Cinderella at Cambridge Arts Theatre
Address: 6 St Edward's Passage, Cambridge CB2 3PJ
This year, Cambridge Arts Theatre is putting on a performance of the classic children's story, Cinderella. Most people already know how the Cinderella story goes but throw in some audience participation and "side-splitting jokes" and you have a new take on this family-favourite.
The pantomime is running from Thursday, November 28, to Sunday, January 5, with performances in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Tickets cost from £20 to £55 depending on the time and day of the show and can be bought from the Cambridge Arts Theatre website here.
2. Snow White at ADC Theatre, University of Cambridge
Address: Park Street, Cambridge, CB5 8AS
In keeping with their 50 year tradition, the ADC Theatre will be putting on a pantomime with the help of the Cambridge University Amateur Dramatics Society and the Cambridge Footlights. This year, they will be performing Snow White but have created an entirely original script based on the classic children's tale.
The panto will run from November 27 through until December 7. Most of the performances will be in the evening but there are some matinees too. Ticket prices range from £11.50 t o£19.50 depending on the time of day and the date of the show. Tickets can be purchased from the ADC Theatre website by clicking here.
3. Goldilocks and the Three Bears at The Maltings

KD Theatre Productions is putting on a performance of Goldilocks and the Three Bears but with a twist. The show is going to be set in a circus with some new characters being added to the story's original line-up so it is sure to provide something new for the whole family.
The show is running from Friday, December 13, to Sunday, January 5, with performances starting at different times of the day so there will be something to suit your schedule. Tickets cost between £20.75 to £23.75 and can be bought from the KD Theatre Productions website here.
4. Snow White at the Key Theatre

The Key Theatre hosts Peterborough's longest running pantomime and for 2024, it's tackling Snow White. The theatre is promising to put on an adaption of Snow White "like you’ve never seen it before!"
The Key Theatre is running the performance from Saturday, December 7, to Sunday, January 5. Tickets are being sold for as little as £12 and go up to £22.50 depending on the date and time of the performance.

5. Cinderella at The Cresset
Address: Rightwell E, Peterborough PE3 8DX
If travelling to Cambridge is too far but you still want to catch a performance of Cinderella, a visit to The Cresset in Peterborough might be for you. The audience can "expect singalong tunes, a star cast, talented young dancers, plenty of audience participation and of course, a really happy ending."
The show is being performed from Saturday, December 14, to Tuesday, December 31, with performances starting at different times throughout the day. Tickets cost £18 for adults and £15 for children under 16 with a special family ticket that costs £60.
