'Paradise' Devon campsite named best coastal spot in the UK

A Devon campsite has been named the 'best coastal spot in the UK.' The winners of the 2024 Campsites.co.uk Camping and Glamping Awards have been announced.

The awards were created to highlight some of the best camping, glamping and touring sites the UK has to offer. Devon's Ocean Pitch Campsite took home the Best Coastal Campsite in the UK. Onsite surf hire, street food and beautiful views of Croyde Bay have been highlighted as impressive features, with those behind the awards describing the site as 'truly a surfer’s paradise.'

The site has gained an impressive 4.91 star rating on their travel listing, with 100% saying they would recommend the site. Guests continue to leave huge praise with comments including "Perfect location for views of the beach ... Best site we have visited so far” and “Cleanest campsite I've actually ever been to”.

Camping @ Croyde Bay, Croyde, Devon - Best Coastal Campsite (National) Runner Up

Watermouth Valley Camping Park, Ilfracombe, Devon - Best Campsite (South West) Runner Up

Oakmoor Touring Park, Newton Abbot, Devon - Best Caravan Park (South West) Runner Up

The awards cover various categories, including ‘Best Campsite’, ‘Best Glamping Site’ and ‘Most Unique Site’. Other titles include the ‘Greener Site Award’, ‘Best Newcomer' and 'Best Budget Friendly Campsite'.
