Paramedics called after young girl 'taken ill on Coventry bus'

Paramedics were called after a young child was reportedly taken ill on a bus in Coventry. It happened in Holbrooks yesterday afternoon (January 13).

Crews were called to the medical emergency on Hen Lane at around 4.40pm. It reportedly happened on a National Express bus that runs from Arena Shopping Park to Warwickshire Shopping Park.

A young girl, who has not been identified, was assessed but did not require treatment, it is understood. She was discharged at the scene shortly afterwards, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

In a statement issued today (January 14), West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a medical incident on a bus on Hen Lane in Coventry at 4.42pm yesterday (January 13).

“Crews found a female child who was assessed but did not require medical attention and so was discharged at the scene.”
