New movies coming to Paramount+ UK in December 2022
Blue's Big City Adventure (5 December)
The revival of beloved children's TV show Blue's Clues has been on screens since 2019, and its cast now make the jump to feature-length — with a trip to New York. The movie follows Blue and his buddy Josh as they travel to the Big Apple for a Broadway musical audition, only to require help from their friends when a notebook goes missing. There are also cameos for BD Wong and Hamilton star Phillipa Soo.
The Lost City (12 December)
Sandra Bullock stars in The Lost City as an author of trashy romantic adventure novels, who finds herself kidnapped by a weirdo businessman (Daniel Radcliffe). He believes that she knows the location of the titular hidden location — and, by extension, the treasure concealed there. Channing Tatum plays the charming himbo cover model who jets off to rescue Bullock's character from her captivity.
Snow Day (16 December)
Airing on Nickelodeon alongside its streaming debut, this family musical comedy follows a pair of siblings whose wish comes true when a snow storm closes their school for the day. They then find themselves at odds with a snowplough driver as they attempt to thwart his work and ensure they get another day off.
Top Gun: Maverick (22 December)
Fresh from cinemas, this blockbuster juggernaut is bringing its aerial carnage to the small screen via Paramount+. Tom Cruise returns as the titular flying ace, who has been recruited to prepare a team of arrogant young airmen for an important and seemingly impossible operation. Miles Teller and Glen Powell are among the stars portraying the next generation of Top Gun pilots.

The Flatshare (all episodes from 1 December)
This high-concept comedy series follows two young Londoners who have come up with a novel way of getting round the nightmare rental market. They share a home and indeed a bed, but never cross paths with each other — or at least that's the idea. Tiffany (Jessica Brown Findlay) works days at a viral news site while Leon (Anthony Welsh) works night shifts at a hospice, with their only interaction via Post-it notes. Naturally though, their circumstances begin to intermingle and each gets drawn into the other's life.
George & Tammy (weekly from 5 December)
George Jones and Tammy Wynette were, together and separately, huge fixtures in the world of country music during their relationship in the late 1960s and early 1970s. But behind the scenes, their relationship was a turbulent one. Michael Shannon and Jessica Chastain play the stars in this limited series directed by The Road's John Hillcoat and based on a book written by the couple's daughter Georgette Jones.
Blowing LA (all episodes from 7 December)
This eight-part documentary lifts the lid on the world of Hollywood hairdressing, where the perfect style can set customers back thousands of dollars. The series focuses on the ambitious stylists working their way ip the industry ladder through these high-end salons, making their way in an ecosystem where names and relationships can make or break a career.
Liam Gallagher: Knebworth 22 (7 December)
In 1996, Oasis played to a quarter of a million people over two nights at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire. More than 25 years later, one half of that duo returned to the iconic stage, with this 60-minute documentary exploring the preparations for Liam Gallagher's performance. It also features reflections on the huge cultural impact of the original Knebworth gigs. The concert itself is also available to stream on 7 December.
1923 (weekly from 19 December)
The latest spin-off series to branch out from Taylor Sheridan's TV phenomenon Yellowstone has attracted the most A-list of A-list names. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren lead the cast as a different generation of the Dutton family, this time facing issues including prohibition and the Great Depression. Away from the two leads, the cast also features the likes of Jerome Flynn and Timothy Dalton.
