Parasite is the film everyone is talking about right now and off the back of its surprising success, it's set to become a TV series at HBO.

Director, Bong Joon Ho explained that the decision was made as there was so many more stories to tell and missing moments from the film that just needed to be told.

"With cinema, you're limited to a two-hour running time," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

"But there were so many stories that I thought of that could happen in between the sequences you see in the film, and some background stories for each character.

"I really wanted to explore those ideas freely with a five- or six-hour film. You know, with Bergman's Fanny and Alexander, there's a theatrical version and there's a TV version.

"So with the TV series for Parasite, I think we'll be able to create a high-quality, expanded film."

The Korean language thriller has been nominated for an impressive six Oscars, including the big ones of Best Picture and Best Director for Bong Joon Ho.

As yet, the UK hasn't even seen the movie yet, so we might have to wait some time before we get to see this TV series.

Parasite is out now in the US and is released in the UK on February 7, 2020.
