Parents warned 'we will be coming for you' as off-road biker taunts police
An off-road biker taunted police officers by performing wheelies while speeding off in main road traffic. The Flintshire rider then mounted a pavement before driving straight at a group of girls.
North Wales Police (NWP) is keen to catch the culprit and has shared a photo in the hope the rider can be identified. The bike was last seen on Monday, November 25, being ridden along a pavement on the eastbound side of the A548 in Flint.
Members of the North Flintshire policing team are also urging parents to think twice about buying buying off-road bikes for their teenagers. Multiple bikes have been seized by the team this year but the off-road menace shows little sign of abating.

On September 11 a six-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital with life-changing injuries after a hit-and-run involving motorbike. A 16-year-old boy was later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision, and failing to report a road traffic collision.
Since then, NWP North Flintshire has shared other images of bikes being ridden illegally. Social media users have highlighted problem areas such as Flint, Holywell, Connah’s Quay and Garden City.
One woman said last month: “Huge problem in Buckley and Drury. No helmets on, scarves or balaclavas over their faces, riding like idiots, on wrong side of road and not even stopping or looking at junctions. Nearly through my windscreen two weeks ago!” Join the North Wales Live Whatsapp community now
Earlier this month, NWP North Flintshire officers came across a Sur-Ron electric motorbike in Flint whose rider had been spotted on previous occasions. “When he saw us, he rode directly into oncoming traffic before heading back towards the woods between Castle Park where he nearly collided with a dog walker in the dark,” said the team.
Police say off-road bikes bring “misery and frustration” to pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. Monday’s incident in Flint, when a a bike was driven in excess of 20mph on a pavement, prompted a warning to both riders and their parents.
The NWP North Flintshire team said: “Parents are buying these for their teenagers, and allowing them to leave the house on them knowing there is no place local they can ride to and would need to be transported. We will be coming for your driving licence as well, for permitting the offences.
“Please contact us with any information regarding the rider/bike so we can get them seized and keep the community safe.” You can reports incidents anonymously via Crimestoppers. Sign up for the North Wales Live newsletter sent twice daily to your inbox
