Sixth Paris Suspect Charged In Belgium

A sixth suspect has been charged in Belgium with terrorist offences connected to the Paris attacks.

The man was detained after house searches in Brussels and southern Belgium.

Federal prosecutors said he is accused of terrorist murders and participation in the activities of a terrorist group.

Two others - reportedly the brother and father of the man charged - have been released after they were held in Verviers.

It comes as German prosecutors confirmed they are investigating whether a man they have in custody sold four assault rifles used in Paris.

The 24-year-old German is suspected of delivering four Kalashnikov rifles to a Parisian address, according to a prosecutor quoted by the dpa news agency.

The suspect is also accused of converting legal starter pistols to fire live ammunition, then selling them on the internet.

Two other men - a 28-year-old Syrian and 46-year-old Tunisian - arrested over a possible attack in Dortmund have been released without charge.

Meanwhile, Belgian police are still hunting Salah Abdeslam, who was dubbed "Public Enemy Number One" after the 13 November attacks .

The Brussels-based suspect - the brother of one of the suicide bombers - is thought to have fled Paris on the night of the massacres.

Belgium has charged the two men who went from Brussels to pick him up as well as a man known as Ali O, 31, who took Abdeslam to another part of the city after his arrival on 14 November.

A 39-year-old Moroccan named as Lazez A has also been charged after police found handguns and traces of blood in his car.

Prosecutors have not given details about a fifth suspect.
